Community Events
Each year Round Rock brings the community together for local festivals and fairs such as Taste of Round Rock, Frontier Days, Daffodil Days and Fiesta Amistad. One of the many historical productions during the Frontier Days celebration is the Sam Bass Shoot Out, which re-enacts the final days of the legendary outlaw Sam Bass.

Sports
Nicknamed the “Sports Capital of Texas", Round Rock’s athletic facilities are some of the best in the nation. Round Rock is home to the Triple AAA affiliate of the Texas Rangers - the Round Rock Express - and is close to a number of collegiate teams including the University of Texas, Concordia University and Texas State University.
We are also a leader in amateur, youth and recreational sports. We have numerous stadiums, fields, tracks, gyms, courses and courts for every level of sportsmanship.
Night Life
Round Rock is home to a variety of bars and night clubs for all tastes. From sports bars to swanky wine bars we have something for everyone. And if that’s not enough, less then 10 minutes away is Austin, the “Live Music Capital of the World”, that is home to more than 120 live music venues, 500 bars and restaurants, and a number of wineries and breweries.
Shopping
From bargain shopping to high-end designers, shopping is plentiful in Round Rock. We are home to the Round Rock Premium outlets which feature 125 stores from Nike to Coach, IKEA Swedish Furniture Store.
Libraries
Round Rock has a superb library system that is operated by the municipal government and boasts an annual circulation of nearly 500,000 including 120,000 books, 4,500 audio materials, 4,000 video materials. Also, nearby University of Texas hosts the fifth largest library in the nation and several nationally-recognized libraries including the Perry-Casteneda Library and the Tarlton Law Library.
Worship Centers
There are more than 100 churches and religious organizations in the greater Round Rock area covering a wide variety of denominations and faiths. These places of worship, together with their membership are an integral part of the Round Rock community.
